The U.S. Forest Service (USFS) will be closing the upper section of the Cathedral Rock trail, from the Templeton junction to the top of the trail. The lower section from the Cathedral Rock Trailhead to Templeton junction will remain open to the general public. This closure will begin February 1st through the end of March unless rescinded sooner. The USFS will have multiple trail crews performing repairs and construction on the trail during that time and there is no alternative route for hikers to access that section of the trail.
